Over $30,000 raised for Continuing Care Endowment Fund at our 2009 event
The cold temperatures and chilling breeze of this October day only seemed to heighten the enthusiasm as many friends of Mennonite Manor gathered for pancakes and sausage. Indoor activities like the Cookie Room, the Gift Basket Silent Auction and the Bake Sale granted a respite from the blustery weather. Even so, the outdoor auction stage was alive with bidders vying for the high bid on a wide range of products and services – tools and toys, gift certificates for dining and for services, home furnishings and quilts.
Benefit Day – begun some 20 years ago – supports Mennonite Manor’s Continuing Care Endowment Fund. Taking seriously Christ's command to extend the hand of support and to offer the cup of cold water, we uphold our mission to serve all in our community who need care, including those whose financial resources have been depleted.
The staff and residents of Mennonite Manor thank all of you - the community that supports us - for participating in our Annual Benefit Day!
