OUR ACTIVITIES
CHURCH SERVICES
Church services are held
in the Manor chapel each
Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and
7:00 p.m.
Services are conducted
by a representative from
one of our nine
supporting
congregations. The
Sunday evening service
is usually a time of
singing.
WEDNESDAY BIBLE STUDY
A Bible Study is offered
on Wednesdays at 3:00
p.m. in the Library.
The study is led by one
of our Independent
Living residents and is
enjoyed by many.
LADIES BIBLE STUDY
Interested ladies meet
at 10:00 a.m. in the
Private Dining Room each
Monday. Study Guidebooks
are used and the group
is led by an Independent
Living Resident or
community volunteer.
SITTERCIZE
You can sit and still
stay fit! It’s just a
matter of what you do
while sitting. The
sittercise program
begins with stretching
activities, build to a
more vigorous activity
and follows with cool
down and relaxation. All
done while SITTING! The
30 minute class meets
Mondays, Wednesdays and
Fridays at 9:15 a.m. in
the Fireside Room.
VITABANDS
VitaBand exercise is a
strength building
program featuring muscle
building exercises you
can do while sitting
down. A VitaBand is a
wide elastic rubber
strip tied into a loop.
The class meets on
Tuesdays, Thursdays, and
Saturdays at 10:00 a.m.
It is a 30-minute class.
EXERCISE ROOM
Our Exercise Room is
located south of the
Dining Room. Everyone is
welcomed and encouraged
to use the equipment. If
you have questions
regarding the equipment,
please contact the
Social Life Coordinator
at 663-7175. Note:
Before starting any
exercise program, it is
recommended one consult
with their physician.
POPCORN MONDAY
If it’s Monday – it’s
time for popcorn!
Freshly popped popcorn
will be available each
Monday after 2:00 p.m.
in the Hobby Room.
MANOR MELODIES CHOIR
Our Choir is made up of
residents who enjoy
singing in a group. The
Choir meets every Monday
afternoon in the
Fireside Room and sings
a variety of songs. Led,
by a volunteer director,
the choir performs on
special occasions and
during the holidays.
CHIME CHOIR
Chimes, which are
similar in sound to
handbells, are an easy
and fun instrument to
play. The Chime Choir is
directed by a community
volunteer and meets on
Tuesdays at 2:30 p.m. in
the Fireside Room. The
Chime Choir also
performs at various
times during the year.
Everyone is invited to
join the Chime Choir.
WEDNESDAY MUSIC
Relax before lunch each
Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.
in the Fireside Room.
This informal
get-together is a time
to share the gift of
music with one another.
Residents or guests
provide the music, so
bring your favorite CD
or cassette and share
your songs with the
group.
BINGO
Bingo, meeting in the
South Dining Room, is
enjoyed by many of the
residents. Prizes are
25-cent coupons that can
be used on any purchase
in the General Store.
Watch the calendar for
scheduled games.
GAMES
Table games in the Hobby
Room is a special time
for fun. Everyone is
welcome to come and
bring a favorite game.

calendar for the
schedule.
EAT OUT ON TUESDAY
Each Tuesday is a time
for an evening out at a
local restaurant. Enjoy
good food, great fun and
fellowship with your
neighbors. Watch the
activity calendar for
the designated
restaurant each week and
join the group at the
restaurant at 5:00 p.m.
or car pool with a
neighbor.
LUNCH BUNCH
Transportation is
provided for this
adventurous group that
goes out for breakfast,
brunch or lunch once or
twice a month. It may be
a restaurant or it might
be a picnic but it’s
always fun. Watch the
calendar and newsletter
to sign up to join the
group.
COFFEE SHOP
A community event each
Thursday in the South
Dining Room. Coffee and
donuts are served
(donations appreciated)
and everyone gets a
chance to visit and
catch up on the news.
Invite your friends and
family and join us
between 8:30 and 10:00
a.m. each Thursday.
SOCIAL
The Resident Council
hosts a social on the
third Thursday of each
month. The evening
starts out in the Dining
Room at 6:00 p.m. with a
meal. The meal is
catered or prepared by
the Social Committee.
There is a charge for
the meal, it varies
depending on the menu,
and it will be billed to
you. If you would like
to attend you need to
sign up by the bulletin
board in the office area
of the Retirement
Community. This is an activity that
we especially depend on
volunteer help from the
residents for set up, so
we always have a
volunteer sign-up sheet.
Volunteers are very much
appreciated. After the
meal we have a program
in the Fireside Room. It
is an excellent time to
socialize with your
friends and neighbors.
RESIDENT COUNCIL
Share your concerns and
discuss what’s happening
in our community at the
monthly Resident Council
Meeting. The meeting is
held the third Thursday
of every month at 3:00
p.m. in the Sunnydell
Dining Room.
GENERAL STORE
Our General Store stocks
a variety of items
including staples such
as milk, bread, soup,
frozen dinners, cookies
candy, facial and toilet
tissue, greeting cards
and gifts. Store hours
are Monday through
Friday 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
CERAMICS
The ceramics class meets
on Thursday in the
ceramics room. Work at
your own level on your
own project. A qualified
teacher is available to
assist participants. The
class is free, but there
is a small charge for
supplies. Discover the
artist in you – join the
ceramics class.
BLOOD PRESSURE CLINIC
The Blood Pressure
Clinic is held every
second and fourth
Thursday of the month
from 10:00-11:00 a.m. This is
a free service performed
by the nursing
Staff.
BOOK CLUB
If you enjoy books and
reading, you’ll love the
Book Club. Held on the
second Friday of each
month at 2:00 p.m. in
the Fireside Room, a
variety of programs are
offered. Book reports,
review by a resident or
special guest and local
authors all contribute
to this fun and
interesting program.
RED HAT SOCIETY
The Silver Reflections Red Hat Society meets once a month.
The ladies dress in the club's regulation red hat and required purple and enjoy eating out or engaging in other
fun and creative activities.
Membership is open to all ladies residing at Reflection Village
BAL-A-VIS-X
This series of Balance/Auditory/Vision eXercises are deeply rooted in rhythm.
Utilizing beanbags, racquetballs and balance boards, Bal-A-Vis-X promotes increased coordination and mental agility.
Join the group on Wednesdays at 1:30 and improve your mind and body.
GARDEN CLUB
The Reflection Village Garden Club members share a passion for growing and nurturing flowers,
plants and vegetables. The Garden Club sponsors an annual plant sale and the proceeds are used to
maintain and provide plants for the Reflection Village entry flowerbed, purchase garden magazines subscriptions
for our Library and provide gardening supplies for the Club's activities.
